Nagarathar Sivan Temple, Kampong Sungai Keluang

This temple is regarded as a safe haven by the resident priests and treated as a sanctuary by the homeless. The fortress-like walls surrounding the temple are drowned in a pale shade of cream, sadly blackened by the smog enveloping Georgetown. The visitor thus has only to contend with a strained peek of the temple's interior. A glimpse of the brown wooden doors with intricate carvings and you start dreaming of the folklore tales they tell. The temple may be closed off to the public at the priest's discretion.
