Petronas Twin Towers

Description

At a dizzying height of nearly 457.2 meters (1500 feet), the Petronas Twin Towers, a pair of 88-story buildings, were the world's tallest buildings until 2004. Apart from offices, these awesome towers also house a state-of-the-art concert hall—the Petronas Philharmonic Hall, home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra—as well as shopping arcades, restaurants, and a science museum. The designs on the towers are based on geometric patterns common in Islamic architecture. Special features of the towers include the double decker skybridge between the 41st and 42nd floors and double decker elevators. Admission is free, however tickets are limited and issued daily on a first-come-first-served basis.

Place worth waiting in line for visit
By ,
Its a great, awesome and gigantic looking structure. View from the air-bridge is great. Its a MUST visit for everyone coming to KL. We went at 8:00 am to stand line line for free entry pass. Got our pass at 9:30 am, for visit time of 11:30am. Spent the time in adjoining KLCC Mall, and then at 11:30 were taken to the tour of this magnificent tower.

Good to Go - For the Experience
By ,
It is nice to say we have went, but will not go back again. It is best to get your free tickets early in the day since the fill up quickly. You are required to watch an advertisement/history video before entering. You are allowed only to the skybridge, about half way up. About 10 minutes is given for photos and viewing, then the "tour" is over. Beautiful view, but a let down if you let yourself get all excited about seeing something amazing. Nice gift shop.

Magnificent - Exellent Work of Art
By ,
Petronas Twin Towers is an experience - from Suria KLCC right up to the walk through on the skybridge and the view of the building in the night. The tour to the sky bridge starts with the video clip of how the towers was built which is very informative. The view of Kuala Lumpur from the sky bridge is exellent. The very sight of the Twin Towers is a sight for sore eyes and the in the evening when it is full lit - its breath-taking.

A NICE GET AWAY TO THE TOP
By ,
I've been to Petronas twice in two years, we went there only to be on the skybridge. The last time I was with my parents, my niece and some of my friends. And we enjoyed the experience. and I would love to take my other friends there. It's a wonderful creation.....

Very nice but expensive
By ,
I like it. Quite big there. Very many people inside there. But the things there very expensive. Even a souvenir also cost ten Ringgit over. Of course, the souvenir are all beautiful. My uncle complain too expensive. Very high. If got time I want stand on the most top place to see Kuala Lumpur scene.

Worth the wait?
By ,
The buildings themselves are very impressive, but the wait to get the tickets (over an hour if you're lucky)the show on Petronas so you too can give Petronas a big pat on the back for building the towers, then the whole 10 minutes you have to take in a view from half way up the towers was a bit of a let downtell you the truth. If you've visted big buildings before (Empire state etc) you'll feel a little underwhelmed.
