Petronas Twin Towers

Description

At a dizzying height of nearly 457.2 meters (1500 feet), the Petronas Twin Towers, a pair of 88-story buildings, were the world's tallest buildings until 2004. Apart from offices, these awesome towers also house a state-of-the-art concert hall—the Petronas Philharmonic Hall, home of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra—as well as shopping arcades, restaurants, and a science museum. The designs on the towers are based on geometric patterns common in Islamic architecture. Special features of the towers include the double decker skybridge between the 41st and 42nd floors and double decker elevators. Admission is free, however tickets are limited and issued daily on a first-come-first-served basis.

A disappointed visit
By NOD, 9/9/10
After waited for 2.5 hrs to get a free tix, we got a guided tour to the sky bridge which is on the 41st flr, and that's it... end of show. What a big disappointment! I could get the same view from my hometown high risers in the state. And we missed our breakfast for this.

hard to define abt it. NAVEED IQBAL(Islamabad,PK)
By Naveed, 5/26/10
No doubt, petronas twin towers is one of the most beautiful building in the whole world, but its real beauty could be seen in the evening time when all of its lights are turned on. The procedure to get ticket to visit the sky bridge is quite difficult although its free of cost but u have to come earlier, and have to wait for ur turn. on the ground floor, 2 Ringgets are charged for using the washroom, however on the first floor and onward its free. The capsule lifts are absolutely fine. u can easily find every branded store over there. The prices are a bit highher as compare to Berjaya Times Square. over all it was a good experience visitng the Petronas Twin Towers. Hope to come here again.

Malaysia is Truly Asia (WAHEED SAYS)
By Waheed Mirza, 4/26/10
When I was visit to Malaysia last month and I make a plan to visit the Petronas Twin Tower. When I was saw it first time a word from my mouth come out WOW!!! Its amazing moment when I say the World Third Largest Building first time. I can't have words to explain my pleasure of that tour of KLCC. I ask you to every one when you have a plan to visit to Malaysia you need to visit that greatest tower of heart of KLCC.

breathtaking at night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/24/09
i didnt come up to see the view coz the wait was quite long. so i just looked up from the outside and the towers were magnificent against the starry night sky. man always seems to reach for the heavens. the feat was unbelieveable and amazing. the viewing at the top should be reviewed again. the wait is boringly long and the viewing is rudely short. please its not quite fair.

Can't stop thinking about it!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/8/08
I liked everything about it, there was lots to do there. It was awesome! It was worth the money. Maybe next time we wouldn't go there for as long, because sometimes it did get a bit boring, but it was definitely worth the time. We can't wait to go back there because we had such a great time. Oh and if you're thinking of staying in Malaysia for a couple of days or weeks, whatever, the food in most restaurants is very cheap! We got served lots of food for about $10 - $20 Australian dollars for the family. It's a great place to get away and I really recommend it. Thanks for reading my review!

Place worth waiting in line for visit
By omarsc, 7/6/08
Its a great, awesome and gigantic looking structure. View from the air-bridge is great. Its a MUST visit for everyone coming to KL. We went at 8:00 am to stand line line for free entry pass. Got our pass at 9:30 am, for visit time of 11:30am. Spent the time in adjoining KLCC Mall, and then at 11:30 were taken to the tour of this magnificent tower.
