Thean Hou Buddhist Temple, Kuala Lumpur

The Thean Hou temple is truly a gem of an architecture as it combines the various influences, and blending them seamlessly. While calling it a Buddist or Taoist site would not be entirely accurate but it is definitely a quiet and natural blend of the two. Everyone should visit this temple, irregadless of your religious afliation but please be mindful to dress modestly for both the ladies and gents. You wouldn't like it if someone walks into a church or a mosque in a tank top or a pair of shorts too...

Nestled on a hill off Jalan Syed Putra,very near to Mid Valley Megamall.It is located in an housing estate.The Thean Hou temple is a picturesque Chinese temple with impressive architecture.it is popular venue for wedding photography and film shootings.Souvenir stalls and a vegetarian restaurant are housed in the complex.An excellent view of the city can be enjoyed from the pagoda.The temple is located on a hill so drive carefully cause the roads are quite steep!!!!........Need a lot of power to go up......
