Mind Shop (The), Petaling Jaya

The Mind Shop has moved around quite a bit throughout the years but they still offer the friendly service that they have been offering since they first came to the scene. They stock most of the popular mainstream comics in easy to browse racks and have a reasonable amount of back issues on the premises. They also carry a selection of comic novelty items like action figures, posters, T-shirt although the selection on the racks are a bit limited as they usually sell them by order only. They also offer a range of card games that are so popular with the kind nowadays. The prices are further discounted an additional 10% if you get a membership card from the store. The yearly cost for membership is currently RM50 and it more than pays for itself if you pull in a lot of titles per month. Due to the economics of comics in Malaysia, they will usually only hold your pull list for about 2 months unless you're a regular customer and/or have called in to make collection arrangement. The staff are friendly and knowledgable enough to recommend good selection once they get to know what you like collecting. You won't find intimidating self styled comics gurus thumbing their nose down to you here. The staff here are more laid back chatty folk that makes the experience of buying your comics here a friendly and enjoyable affair.
