This is Malaysia's premier and most sophisticated shopping destination, located at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur City Centre, or KLCC. Set in the heart of the Golden Triangle, it offers an array of goods and services, from fashion, entertainment, arts and culture to fast food outlets and restaurants, all spread out over six levels of retail space where Isetan, Parkson, and Tanjong Golden Village are a few major tenants. Hotels, office buildings, a scenic park and fountains surround the center.
Sophisticated shopping, Lots of branded goods, the Petronas Petrosains trip was great for the kids (and adults too)... We tried the food at 4th floor Suria foodcourt.. the Nasi Beriani there was awesome. We had good advisor and took the train from Ampang, so parking & traffic jam were not issues.. be warned, the Petrosains tour may take a while, so have yr meals before going there. I suggest eat nasi beriani that is on the same floor, cheap & awesome..
In general, Suria KLCC has a lot to offer for families (of various ages), working people, tourists and people in general. It caters to people of wide and varied tastes/preferences
The mall as the following to accommodate:
Two Food courts (not cheap but slightly less pricey as compared to the restaurants) and fast food
High End and reasonably priced restaurants ranging from Chinese, Western, Japanese, Korean, etc etc
2 major departmental stores - Isetan and Parkson
2 supermarkets (Isetann and cold storage)
Banks - CIMB and Maybank. There is a post office in KLCC which is open for the whole day on Saturdays and Sundays.
High end retail shops + other shops
MPO - Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. This has weekday performance in addition to the usual main performances
Gyms - There is a gym in the lower ground of KLCC (near the MPO) and Fitness First in Menara Maxis (ok, this is not within Suria KLCC but Malaysian and International passport holders would have access to this gym)
Hospital - there is a hospital on the 4th floor of KLCC (?? don't remember the name)
Problems: The only problem is that the parking fee is exceeding expensive, which could cost up to RM25-30 per day if you are parking there. Sometimes it is hard to find parking when there's sales going on. Of course the traffic is bad during post office hours.
But the good thing is that there is an LRT which I suggest to everyone in general to avoid during peak hours.
Taxis are also a pain, I hope that taxi drivers adhere to the meter system.
The long hair short Chinese woman has poor customer service. She obviously serves foreigners (mainly Anglo-Saxon heritage) before locals. Overall I found her rude and very unpleasant. She does not uphold the Tiffany service reputation. Do not go to KLCC branch better to go to Pavilion instead.
I've been there a few times and really love this place. My favourite method going there is by using the Putra LRT System.
You can even find the popular Harrods but the very small one as compared in London. Beside that Kinokuniya bookstore offers lots of useful books and magazines too.
Another great thing is I can enjoy watching the movies at TGV cinema there. But the downside is the management doesn't allow you to do filming and shoot the photos except at the ground floor.
klcc suria is a good mall for all the top international brands!!! everything under 1 roof.....so one spends less time travelling to different shops/malls!
however if ur looking for fake designer stuff (louis vittoun, chanel, etc) head to china town and bukit bintang shopping areas.
The shopping complex was a good place for shopping. First of all, the 4m Christmas tree in the mall was nice. The mall has a good enviroment of shopping. But, the taxis were really bad, most of them didn't use meters!!
All the brand names under one (airconditioned) roof on 6 floors. The food court was very clean & very yummy. KLCC also includes a multiscreen cinema and several good restaurants - we recommend Madame Kwans for authentic Malaysian food.
