Beach Club Cafe, Kuala Lumpur

I went because my friends from Europe had heard great "stories about this place. The food is inedible and you are never left alone as hookers are 'hitting'on you all the time even though one of my guests was with his girlfriend. In my view the drinks are expensive and service is very poor. I cant believe some of the reviews are about the same place. It is a low end meat market.

Had heard of this bar as my mate lives there, so at least had to go and have a look. Wasnt disappointed at all - the place was 'wall to wall' gorgeous tottie, good bands on most nights and more importantly live premiership games - with a couple of free lap dances thrown in whilst you are watching. The best bar in the world.... probably:)

the bouncer is very rude and they easy to get into trouble i make sure that this year beach club will close.Because i have been complain them to the authorities in england and they are going to do something about this.I lost my husband because all the bouncer beat him without any reason.

To say that the place is packed with hookers would be an understatement. So, really, if you're looking for decent dining&drinking ONLY, forget about this place. Beach Club charges a 35 MYR cover fee, for which you get one drink. For additional drinks, expect to pay the usual price in the centre of a town like KL. If the staff behind the bar has seen your face before and can remember a decent tip, you are sure to get your drinks quickly. Decent bar food, though you can get better for less in the neighborhood (try the steak house just up the road towards KLCC). Nothing too impressive, but not bad. The band actually ROCKS. 80s music as well as rocky interpretations of contemporary hits. "Umbrella" never sounded so good. They also play a lot in Rum Jungle next door, by the way. Great place to blow off some steam after a hard day's work. Even if you're alone, you'll have a good time, because you'll be surely getting attention. One tip: of course it is easier than ABC to get a girl to go with you to the hotel. But this may not be what you want. So here are some tips to leave Beach Club without getting laid in the end: - If you don't like being chatted up, just say that you're no game. The girls will respect that. - If you do like being chatted up but don't feel like going home with a girl, buy her a few drinks. Chances are that you actually will have a good time just dancing and chatting. - If a lady has spent the whole evening paying attention to you, it is rather polite to give her something like 50 or 100 MYR. Most girls support a family back home. You'll go home happy coz you had a good time without loosing your decency. She'll go home happy coz she had a good time without loosing her decency and still got paid. Have some respect, don't get too drunk and you will have a great time at this place!

The place is full of hookers from i dont know where, not an ideal place for bringing your girl, beer overpriced, food is sour, a girl asked me to buy her a glass of coke.. so i gave her fifty and she never came back. The only thing i liked about the place is the shark in the aquarium and that lasted like 10 minutes..

Great place if you like looking and being hit on hard by weird and desperate-looking hookers all night long. Seriously creepy. Some cute girls fo sho' but many look to have had sex changes. Lastly, the band completely blew. I lasted 15 minutes then bailed to my Hotel bar where the girls were for real...and free.

Well, well well, Had heard a lot about this club through blogs and reviews, hence it was my destination no.1 once i landed in KL. Checked in my Hotel and was ready to ht this club at around 9:00 pm. Great staff who were courteous and friendly. Let me in without any covercharge, though my watch showed 9:35, i guess they gave me a grace it seems, lol. Well it was overcrowded for a thursday night but was fun. Nice drinks, smiling inviting women, but i liked the bartender the most. THis guy was trying to ape Johnny Depp and was looking out straight from the sets of Pirates of the Carribean. He was a real funny guy. Had my pick from a choice of beautiful women at around 11 and was out of this heavenly place at around 11:30. Cool experience.

I really like the ambiance, especcialy since they are more strickt on age limit. Really nice girls, and a lot of smiles. The drinks are overpriced, but ask for specials and order buckets or bottles.

i like this club coz it play hiphop n rnb music compare to other club that i ever go b4..but the space at outside seat is too small n narrow..hope they can make it more bigger..

- Note: I'm rating this as a restaurant! We came to Beach Club Cafe to get dinner. Obviously a mistake. Food was poor, service was poor, toilets were not very clean (as someone mentioned). I gave 3/5 for value pretty much because as a foreigner it wasn't bad. Albeit my Malaysian colleague thought the food was overpriced so... Ambiance wasn't too bad. They do a nice job of making it feel like its tropical. The place is inundated with 'street girls' if you know what I mean. Not sort of the ambiance I was looking for when I'm eating dinner. Like I said, I'm rating this based as a restaurant, not as a bar (Perhaps Yahoo should consider separating the two as they can be quite different).
