War Memorial of Korea
Description
The War Memorial of Korea is one of the biggest war museums in the world. Visitors can enjoy two exhibition areas: one indoors and the other outdoors. With all the different displays, visitors will almost feel like they had experienced the war themselves. It is also a good place to rest and to absorb some Korean culture.
Absolutely amazing. This Truly moved me. The artifacts that they have, the old fashioned guns, the old ships, with the most architectural design is absolutely amazing. A must see in Seoul!
The single best historic museum I've ever been to. It chronicle the history of Korea with an in-depth trilingual inactive experience not eh current war with north Korea. There is a lot to see and do, and my 7and 8 year old daughters really enjoyed it too. The current have a huge exhibit for the 60th anniversary of the freedom from north Korea . It is a must see if your nation assisted in the korean war.
This was one of my favorite places. Outside is a huge memroial park, halls of all of the names of soldiers that have given their life, and a collection of milltary planes and vehicles. Every location in this memorial in beautiful. Once inside the memorial the exhibits were partially done. But the ones that were open were very well done with lots of creativitiy to bring the spectators to the era of the various wars. When you enter, on the right hand side they have an audio tour programed in a remote control. Pick-one up as it will explain a lot more than the bilingual plaques. Take your time in this memorial to fully take in all it has to offer
This location was a joy to find, I am here on business and this memorial was full of equipment, Aircraft, tanks, helicopters, guns and instruments of war from all nations. The Translation is availible and useful. The cost to enter the building is about 3USD per person but the grounds are free and where most of the good stuff is!
