Ilsan Lake Park, Gyeonggi-Do

Ilsan Lake Park (Bosu Park) claims to be the largest man-made lake in Asia. Goyang is home to a fantastic flower show and it happens in April to May and the show is right in the park. A spectacular musical water fountain at one end comparable to the dancing fountains in Vegas and a cascading waterfalls at the other end of the park. The park is wonderful for runners, hikers and bikers as there is something for everyone in the whole family. Lots of sports activities including boats during the summer on the lake. I live less than two blocks from the park and I run here every morning. If you come to Ilsan, check out the Cactus Greenhouse...some very interesting cacti from all over on display and some fore purchase. Well worth the trip from Seoul out to Ilsan.

My first year in Seoul was spent living across from Lake Park, and it's just beautiful around the spring and summer. I loved watching the Musical Fountain light up at nights! This park is also famous for its annual Flower Exhibition, and is GREAT for runners, joggers, and walkers - you are walking for the most part on clay, not hard concrete. Great for couples, singles, and all ages:)
