Puccini offers fine original Italian cuisine and an interior beautiful enough to have served as a setting for several Korean television soap operas. With the entrance, terrace and some rooms surrounded by glass, guests can enjoy warm sunshine during the day, and glittering city views at night. The live piano music contributes to the serene and elegant atmosphere. The menu is extensive--try the Puccini Special Spaghetti with parmesan cheese ripened for three years, or the delicious Lasagna al Forno. Alternatively, indulge in one of several set menus available.
I discovered the Puccini restaurant during my visit to Seoul during the month of November 2006. It was really a pleasure to find out that the food and the way it is cooked are really Italian.
The pasta is perfectly cooked "al dente" and the variety of foods served are imported from Italy : not a fake!
I also appreciated the quality of the service, the waitresses really pamper you with "savoir fair" and make your dinner even more enjoyable.
I would like to express a special appreciation to Mr. Ahn (the owner) for the knowledge of the Italian culture and traditions that he demonstrated.
The manager made the difference recommending difference dishes and even making dishes that our guests wanted but were not on the menu. The food is very good in a city where Italian food tends to "localized". The wine list is good with a nice selection including reasonably priced wines.
