Actually, NO, they don't serve single diners. It's like that at EVERY Korean restaurant. Well, they do, but in Korea, dining at a restaurant is a very social thing and you rarely see someone eating alone. In fact, I'm the only person I've ever seen eating alone in the past two years I've lived here. The "bad" service you experienced is typical of any Korean restaurant. They won't check your table to see if you need anything unless you call them. That's why there are usually small buttons on the table to press for service.

This restaurant was very disappointing. My husband and I weren't very hungry - so we only wanted one order of food, but they said there was a minimum of two orders. Ok, do they not serve single diners? So we decided to leave and try a different place - at which time they said they would cook just one order for us. The service afterwards was poor. Our bill was mysteriously higher than the price of the food we had ordered. The food was just ok. The place is recommended for non-Koreans. We are non-Koreans and we've had better food and service elsewhere.
