Steak House Hama Roppongi, Tokyo

This was the original restaurant offering bite-size pieces of meat cut up in front of the guest. Of course, many steak houses worldwide now do this. Forty-six seats in the main dining area are augmented by six private rooms. The club-like atmosphere is created by heavy wooden paneling and Japanese-motif wallpaper. Course menus at lunch are priced from JPY2,000-JPY5,000 and offer a huge choice. The JPY15,000 dinner set consists of a starter, abalone, prawns, spinach, tenderloin or sirloin, salad, garlic or fried rice, and dessert and coffee. Steak only orders are available from JPY10,800. Wines range from JPY9,000.
