White linen cloths, Chinese prints, calligraphy and vases together with a smattering of plants contribute to the restaurant's atmosphere. Private rooms are available. The Tabenohai Buffet has two choices--35 items at JPY4,000 and 50 dishes at JPY5,000. There are ten lunch sets for under JPY3,000. Classical dishes such as jellyfish, 1,000-year old eggs, birds nest soup and sharks fin soup are on the menu. Beer is JPY800 and wine is available from JPY4,500.
