Le Tabou, Sapporo-Shi

There is a distinct Spanish or Mediterranean ambiance to this restaurant that greets you the moment you walk through the door. The ceiling is high and the tables are spaced so that you have more elbow room than you normally find in Japan, and the center of the restaurant is an open space for the nightly flamenco floor show. You can order a la carte but most people go for one of the courses (JPY3,500 – JPY4,500) that include most well-known Spanish favorites, including a tapas-like selection of appetizers and a main dish of meat or fish. Spanish wine is also available.
