Osaka Visitors' Information Center - Umeda
This is a highly recommended branch of the Japan National Tourist Organization's national network of tourist information centers. English-speaking staff can advise on hotel booking, where to go and what to see. Plus, there is a large collection of free pamphlets, brochures, magazines and maps, not just on Osaka but the rest of the country, too. Other JNTO branches can be found at New Kansai International Airport, JR Shin-Osaka Station, JR Namba Station and JR Tennoji Station.

This is a nice place where people usually meet and there are alot of people there wandering about. There are all kinds of stores and I especially enjoyed the lower level floor where they sell a variety of foods ranging from Chocolates, cakes and other bakery goods to chicken, eel, fish and sushi. Also loated at the Umeda, there is the Subway station and the bus station where you can connect to other places and cities like Nara or Kyoto. The people are friendly and the food is great, it's truly a place to visit for tourists.
