Description
Located right in the heart of the city, the Imperial Palace Park contains the buildings of the Imperial Palace. With its wide expanses of grass and small copses of trees, the park provides a welcome refuge of green and fresh air away from the busy streets outside. The bullet holes on Hamagurimon Gate on the western side of the park is a reminder of Kyoto's often violent past.
