One word characterizes this restaurant: oysters. No, let's make that two words: delicious oysters. The varieties of this famous Hiroshima delicacy served at this elegantly Japanese restaurant are numerous, and certainly not too expensive either. Most plates run under JPY1,000. The dark wooden interior features large tables for groups, or more secluded tables for couples or families. Dress tends toward the formal side, though casual customers are also welcome.
this is one of my favorite restusants in the Hiroshima area. The hostes speaks excellent english and has a through knowledge of the menu. This is THE place to get amazing fish seafood and most importantly OYSTERS. the name of the resturant is literally translated as OYSTER DEN.
If you happen to go here during oyster season (november-april) try the carrot baked oysters they are a really neat take on oysters rockafeller. If you do not come during oyster season i recommend the white fish stuffed with asparagus and shitake mushrooms in a butter sauce allong with the stuffed potato in a mushroom soup.
