Beautiful location. The food was great. I knew the cook there and he had prepared so many great dishes and food was outstanding. I really like the restraunt because how the everything was laid out, ambiance to the max. I would recommended for experience of great club/restraunt atmosphere looking at one of best beach of the word. Very satisfied.
So we arrived at Kudeta, no one came to seat us.. We walked up to a table, and a lady in oversized sunglasses and head stuck up so high in the sky, you couldn't even see her face, quickly put her bag on the table, so we couldn't sit there. We walked to another table we saw was empty, and as I pulled my seat back to sit, a waiter ran over, and told us to leave, because the lady with the oversized sunglasses wanted to sit there instead! So we moved back to the first table, once seated we received a menu, but no one came to ask for our order. Instead they kept on pulling away the seats at our table, even though we were expecting more people, and the waiters didn't even bother asking us if we needed the chairs. Finally we told them to stop taking away our chairs, then they said they'd split our tables, since they needed to seat apparently more important people. And as for the amazing sunset, you can have the same view 10 meters away at a true little balinese cafe... All in all, the service was HORRIBLE, the 'ambience' is as fake as it can get, there's no 'ambience' and this is DEFINITELY not Bali... this place takes the authenticity of Bali away, and is perfect for tourists who are not used to travelling and think this is the experience of a lifetime before they go back to their trailers, and can share with their friends what an amazing and 'classy' time they had...
A vast, open air establishment right next to the beach - the whole ambiance just can't be beat. It's probably the hippest place in Bali, and weekends are always packed.
Food is not bad for Bali, but then again, it really is all about the ambiance and being there, not so much about fine dining.
Fisrt of all, there is nothing to not like in Bali. Must see!!!!!!!!! The people are amazing!!!!The best experience our family has had!!!! Ku De Ta was nice indeed. Ive been to Maui and seen sunsets but Ku De Ta has to be the best. The food was excellent and service was crazy. That place knows how to take care of people. This is a one of a kind place to visit. I'm not kidding folks, this place is unbeleivable (BALI)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I go to Bali every few years and the best (and most expensive) restaurant I've been to is Kudeta. Was there on my last trip which was 2 years ago. It is definitely not a letdown albiet being pricey.
Service is alright though we went there on a very busy night. The decor is fine (very open-concept), upbeat and modern but the best thing about kudeta is the food!
I can't really recall which dishes we ordered except my hubby having a huge seafood platter and my starter which had me smiling from ear to ear. the best word for it is delicate and refine. It is a dish with risotto and scallop if I recall correctly. Though I can't really recall the rest of our order, I know that we were pleased with all.
Go to the bar after dinner and get a seat near the beach. with stars above and waves crashing near you, it was the perfect end to a beautiful evening.
If it is not so expensive I will definitely go again.
I will check out Mosaic on my next trip as I heard they have the best food in Bali.
We were recommended this restaurant by a friend who described it as his 'favourite restaurant in the world' so we were expecting big things!
The location is amazing. The restaurant looks right out onto the beach and this affords great sunset views if you time it right. The restaurant is walled almost completely by windows to make the most of the setting but you're never over-looked since lush greenery surrounds the sides and back of the restaurant.
The food came presented in small portions on large plates, as is the way with upscale restaurants it seems. all of the food i tried was lovely but the real star was the steak. it just melted in your mouth and was complimented perfectly by the sauce.
Overall, if you're impoverished then keep a wide berth of Kudeta. For 3 starters, 3 mains and 2 bottles of wine (the cheapest on the menu) we spent over 150. Having said all that, if you can afford it then i recommend it wholeheartedly.
The Place was alive, the service fantastic and the ambiance amazingly beautiful and romantic.
The food was unbelievable and we had the best time. They also arranged transport back to our hotel.
We didn't see the sunset, however, that was our choice. The sunset at the Intercontinental hotel was amazing.
Well run and great food
