One of the most modern and impressive art museum in the world

I visited the Shanghai Art Museum in May 2004.
What a fabulous looking museum. From the majestic view of the building from the outside to the regal looking decor of the inside. I was very impressive from the beginning of the tour. There was marble everywhere. The museum is a mixture of the older more traditional looking museum of the Met in NYC to the very stylish looking Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) of NYC. On a footnote, the bathrooms in SAT are 5 stars . The bathroom matches the luxurious feeling of a bathroom in the Four Season Hotels. Marble tiles were everywhere. The lighting of the museum also left a very nice impression with me.
If one is looking for higher volumn of porceline items and more historically significant art pieces, one should visit the National Art Museum in Taipei.
