Surprisingly amazing and informative
When my friend Joe Sloboda first told me that we were going to the Urban Planning Museum I was not exactly thirlled, but soon after entering the hall I quickly changed my mind.
I was absolutely amazed at how cool this place is, the tour guide was super infomative and it was crazy to learn how well planned out this massive city was and is (the local Government actually has every planned building on the books for the next 10yrs, what they will look like, where they will go, etc)
It was really cool to see how efficient and prozctive these people are when it comes to developing there city and making it better. When you consider it takes years to get approvals and complete a simple runway at a local US airport it is crazy to see how quickly they can build a complete city in Shanghai.
I would recommend this as a place to visit for just about anyone, it definetly was not boring and it only took about 90 mintues. Then you end up below the facility in a cool little food court area that has some really great local fare. All in all a great way to spend part of your morning and you will learn more about this amazing city than the average person would ever know.
