Malone's American Cafe, Shanghai

I have been living in Shanghai for 4 months now and what I can say: Malone's is one of the most boring places to go in Shanghai. It's quiet ok, but it's nothing special. If you prefer places with a lot of expats: Xintiandi (many bars and restaurants) would be 10 times better. Also hongmei lu is a place with many bars and restaurants in the honqiao district. A place really worth to go is to tianzifang, it's in a old area with many renovated modern restaurants! the atmosphere is really nice. Jing an temple area are not so much nice bars. But for sure Malone is one of the most boring places, for a great experience with a nice band and many beautifull girls, you'd better go to Manhattan or to judy's, let's say this is the better version on Malone's just around the corner. If you prefer Chinese places you can go for clubbin to places like : Rich babies,(huaihai lu 138), 3 clubs in park 97 (Fuxin gong yuan), or for a nice exclusive place you should definitly go to M1nt! The Chinese people deffinitly know how to make some party. I am a 20 year old student living in Shanghai, I really love clubs and bars and having the time of my life. I think I have been in more then 50 different bars and clubs. Malone's would not excist in my let's say top 40.

I like the atmoshere lots of ex pats from all over come to this place due to it being in the french consesion. Never been disapointed with the food. Always seems to come out in a speedy fashion only had one time I had to ask for my fries but other then that no problems.You have to call your waiters though they usually dont come back to check up on you unless you flag them down but overall not to bad of a place. If you like American food this is a good place.

Great food, the waitresses are just great and friendly. Enjoy myself everytime I go and the band is great. A must do in Shanghai for an expat!
