The compound housing Sasha's has a long history. Once home to Chiang Kai Shek and his wife, Soong Mei Ling, during the civil war, it later fell into the hands of Mao Ze Dong's wife Jiang Qin. Today, the restored three-story house is home to the venerably chic Sasha's, comprising of a bar, restaurant and patio. Sasha's famous patio attracts diners on sunny afternoons and is ideal for Sunday brunches. Inside, the tasteful wooden interiors equally appeal. Despite the beauty of its decor, most people come to Sasha's for its well-prepared Continental cuisine. Pastas start from CNY50 and the grilled beef tenderloin medallions peak the prices at CNY160. For brunch, try the Full English Plate (CNY80) or the House Omelette (CNY60).
