Di Shui Dong, Shanghai

I loved this place - phantastic food , menue also in English and good for the wallet! They will see me once a week! Lao Wai's (Foreigners like I am) will love the place but there are a lot of young people (budget) both foreigner and chinese in this place. The waiters are nice and fast , the beer ice-cold (I don't like beer but my friends liked the beer and loved this place I showed them) - romantic? If you both eat the garlic yes .. it's spicy + some garlic but you have to try this restaurant!

i don't know why this place is in the books and why its all over the internet. it was a ghetto little restaurant that you can find on the streets anywhere in china. not worth the search, time, or money.

The food at this place is great. Spicy, just as I like it. The diners all seem to be excited by the spiciness... so it is not at all a quiet place. But that adds to the authenticity. It's not a place to go for a quiet, romantic evening meal. But if you like spicy, and you like authentic Chinese - Di Shi Dong is great!
