To the east of the Great Wall at Ba Da Ling and 70 kilometers from the city is this restored section of the Great Wall. This three-kilometer stretch has 25 beacon towers, watch towers and lodging houses. Historically, the construction here required the largest number of laborers to construct and produced work of extremely high quality. It requires a more rigorous climb than Ba Da Ling, but the views are more striking and there are cable cars to take visitors to the top and the option of an exhilarating toboggan ride back down.
i loved it it was very very exciting to think what actually went on around there in in ancient times!"" wowey super cool place! it was cool, it was sweet it was hot it was amazing it was kinda radically pimped and i loved the scenery did you know that i loved it there i could stay there forever if i had to but it was so cool the lions are awsome!
Main attraction about it is that it was opened to publics after centuries of being used by many dynasties. It has more historical importance than anything else.Very few things to see inside.I wish chinese goverment reduces the ticket charge to enter places like this.
This place is an architectural treasure. There is no way you can see everything in the Forbidden City in one day. There are so many artifacts, antiques and works of art to look at. It is a must see for anyone who plans to visit Beijing.
Tons of people, which you would expect, but each part costs more money. The first ticket you buy is rather pricey but seems worth it because you think you are going to see the whole thing. All you see is one room, and all it has is souvenirs. ..and so it goes. The best value was the grounds area outside the buildings. This was only 2Y and great, great things to see. The rest, probably not worth the money.
With the upcoming Olympics The Forbidden City is getting a long overdue facelift and the real beauty of the place is now shining through. Go there to savour the history and admire the architecture and remember it for what it was- it was fantastic and still is!
