Baihua Mountain Natural Scenic Area, Mentougou

Bai Hua has been several things, including home to many monasteries in ancient times and serving military purposes more recently. Officially retired from active duty, Bai Hua is now a nature reserve and home to diverse wildlife. It is the destination for biology students and photographers, birdwatchers and nature lovers. You might even see a gazelle or leopard. There are boarding and lodging facilities offering the most basic to quite luxurious facilities that are quite popular in the summer.
