Yaji Mountain Forest Park
Yaji Mountain is a holy site of Taoism and is also called little Mount Tai due to its resemblance to Shandong Province's famous peak. The site is located in Pinggu County about 70 kilometers west of central Beijing, and includes many Taoist temples originally built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Temple fairs have taken place on the mountain for 400 years and attract millions of tourists and Taoists alike. Visitors may also hold campfire parties and pick wild fruits on the mountain.
