Simatai Great Wall , Beijing

During my 2007 National Day visit, the Wall at Simatai was not at all crowded. A very pleasant trip up to the wall, a friendly local lady to follow me the whole time offering advice and commentary :)), and wonderful views. This destination easily warrants many hours' time to walk and explore. The drive to Simatai is also a great experience, with passenger vehicles, buses, donkey carts and lumbering trucks loaded with timber or livestock. Many interesting-looking restaurants along the way. And the drive leading up to the wall takes you through some really pleasant rural areas. A very nice experience indeed.

ORINGINAL,,,,,,,,,MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN BADALIN. IT TAKES ALL DAY, BUT WORTH IT,,,,THE VIW IS HEAVENLY...OUT OF THIS WORLD. TAXI RIDE WAS ONLY 600 YUAN ROUND TRIP.
