Great Wall, Beijing

For me this was a lot like seeing the grand canyon. That was a big hole, this is a big wall. Don't get me wrong. It is definatly worth seeing if you are in this part of the world, but I am glad that I did not make it my most central part of the trip. The walk was pleasant (I went in Late April Early May, perfect weather) the sun was not too hot, the wind was not too cold, and I went to the section called Samatai which does not have all of the commercialization...yet. It will soon though, so if you have the chance and want to see the old wall, the way it really looked before they recreated and fixed it, it really is worth the trip overall. It was no better to me than seeing the terracotta warriers. But it is a good experience (not great, but good).

The great wall is a great way to end you'r stay in China. It's so fun to walk on top of the wall and look down at the places below. It's amazing to think that people made such a tall and long wall. It definately shows presistense

great panoramic viewing points, a must do for any one!

The Great Wall of China is the greatest man-made monument in the world history ever. it is filled with historical value, the ambitious architecture, mythical ancient military & defense and each stone brick seems like sacrificial tablets for the lives burried beneath the wall itself to become the longest cemetary in the world. it's a long stretch monument that the people can visit from different cities, from different entries and to gain different cultural value apart from geographical journeys. moreso, the conception was by China first Emperor Qin Shi Huang more than 2,000 years ago and he who united the geographic of today's China. Also, this Emperor has brought together many ancient civilization into practice and still there are many that cannot be solved by the modern scientific approach. The Great Wall of China stands as a symbolic of unification perserverance and the 'can do' spirit of all the Chinese people both local and overseas. It withstands against time and changes to become an awesome monument and a timeless sculpting art of the world.

it's great place to visit specialy in autumn but it's realy-rely tired if you take the great wall att Badailing pepare your body or you can take another part of greta wall.

the great wall was so beautiful. The scenery was terrific and it is incredible to think people built all that so long ago with such limited means.

You can see how powerful the human being is. With the sightseeing bus, it is easy to get there. The grear wall takes to back to thousands of years ago when there were many wars in this interesting land.
