Mount Yun Meng
Description
One of Beijing's four state-level forest parks, the Yun Meng's steep cliffs, deep-cut valleys and thundering waterfalls are popular inspiration for painters. Rich in wildlife and mineral sources, it is also a destination for scientific research. The recreational offerings change with the seasons, including wild flower walks in spring and early summer and misty scenery in late summer. If you visit in the fall bring a basket for fruit picking while the wild fruit is ripe. Overnight guests will easily find a hostel or Japanese style guest house. Places to pitch a tent are also available.
