Guangji Temple is the site of the Buddhist Association of China as well as the spiritual home for Chinese Buddhists. The temple was built midway through the Qing Dynasty. The front yard is for receiving worshipers, while the back area has a beautiful garden adjoining an antique building. Visitors can buy Buddhist scriptures and discuss philosophical and spiritual matters with the monks. Buddhist ceremonies are conducted every afternoon. Special ceremonies are held on the first day and the 15th day of each lunar month.
