Century Theater, Beijing

This upscale theater hosts a range of cultural productions including orchestra concerts, dance performances, opera and other musical events. Many famous performers come here during their world tours. They frequently play to packed audiences, seated eagerly in steeply banked pea-green seats. Although the acoustics are not always ideal, that should not deter a true lover of the arts.The theater is part of the Sino-Japanese Friendship complex which also houses a recreation center and the Cherry Lane movie house.
