GO TO CAMBODIA

Friends restaurant ( if this is the same non profit place I visited) was superb we ate tarantula with lime for starters( I texted all my friends back home and said I was officially now the old woman who swallowed a spider) no joke it was nice when you pretended you weren't eating spider.
I loved Cambodia but this place and Salabai made me realise how greedy and ungrateful we are for the every day simplicities we take for granted.
Cambodia is certainly a humbling place, but these restaurants(Freinds and Salabai)make you finally see it.
I've never seen so many smiles or had such fantastic service and great food and our average meal for 2 cost about 7 quid, a similar meal at home would be around a 100 quid with wine, and beleive me we had plenty of beer.
If I were you I would put Cambodia on your list of to do's, It certainly gave me a nice reality check and these restaurants were the icing on the cake, I will go back to Cambodia but moreover I will support these places as this is the most giving place in the world that I have ever been.
I arrived in Cambodia very wary ,I left very trusting in the people and very saddened in the society we live in.
