Description
Forming an important part of a soon-to-be extensive green belt area running from the west of Johannesburg all the way to the East Rand, Florida Lake is a wonderful haven of tranquility close to main roads that lead straight to the heart of the city. An interesting assortment of ducks waddle about, and the lake is frequented by numerous other bird species. Access is unrestricted and free but barbecuing facilities need to be booked, especially on weekends. A lovely place to picnic or simply stroll and enjoy the water's presence.
