South African National Museum of Military History, Johannesburg

This is a great museum with well maintained exhibits which range from 1st and 2nd World War aircraft and armor to uniforms to the equipment used by the SADF (South African Defence Force) until recently. What I don't like is the fact that one may not take photos. Quite honestly, I don't know which twit/s decided that rule. A museum is a place where photography should be encouraged. There is a rumor that the rule was put in place because somebody in charge believes that taking pics of the exhibits will somehow lead to an increase in theft of them. Aside from the above, a visit is time well spent, and the entrance fee is very reasonable.
