Jimmy's Killer Prawns, Johannesburg

How can you give up on prawns? I certainly can't. I can't wait to eat these prawns up. The bigger the better and they better be spicy

Jimmy's prawns are really delicious. BUT don't go often, for when we order our food which comes with a small rice, there is so little on the large plate that it looks like a childs portion and we pay a lot for it too!! Do not enjoy many seafoods, except some fish or prawns, so our choice is limited. We always have our prawns de-shelled and that makes it look even smaller, so when all we see is this tiny portion of prawns & small rice on this huge plate [3 small sauces are placed on the table], we wonder why we bother going!! We usually have something like the 'Prawn Promise', but they add nothing special to make the plate look more appetizing - like a small salad on the side of the plate or some fresh vegetables or even some fresh brown bread or fresh bread roll - which would be lovely to dip in the sauces [yes, we do know we could ask for these but why should we, it should be included, we refuse to pay more!!] Otherwise it looks cold & very bland. But like I said - the prawns ARE delicious with the sauces - but the price for what you get is way too ridicules.

This was the best place to eat - we loved the food, the atmosphere and the great wait staff. Everyone was friendly and one felt trully welcomed. The kids and the adults all had a wonderful gastronomic experience. Those prawns, i can still taste them....
