Rude management

We had a meeting with a senior journalist from Business Day at Nino’s in Rosebank - 2 of the 5 guests asked for coffee and everybody else opted for water. We literally had 30 minutes with the journalist, so it was a quick in and out. Ten minutes into the meeting, the waiter informed us that everybody had to order a paid-for drink. We declined as we just came from a previous coffee-meeting, and went on with our meeting. Then the manager came over, rudely interrupted the meeting and said we all had to order a paid-for drink, or we had to leave. She was very rude in her manner and the more we argued that it was a 30 minute meeting, the more she hammered that we were bad for business and it is insane for us to take up 5 seats, and only order 2 drinks. Five minutes later she came back, again interrupting the meeting and said if we don’t all order now at once, we had to leave. We were still happy to take the two coffees, but she immediately ordered for all the waters to be removed and practically kicked us out.
Nowhere on the door did it say all members of the party had to order. Secondly, there was about 15 open tables at that time, so it wasn’t that she had to show away potential lunch customers as we were taking up space.
She was extremely rude and irritated, with zero customer service what so ever – very unpleasant indeed.
