Although the office canteen-style dining room does little to impress, it is unlikely that you would visit Touchdown for the decor. The walls of the official restaurant of Jo'burg's home of rugby, Ellis Park Stadium, are lined with memorabilia and photos of South Africa's rugby heroes. The restaurant overlooks the stadium's sprawling green rugby field. During, before or after one of the country's favourite games, diners can enjoy items from the delicious menu and extensive wine list. Again, it's not necessarily the food you'd be there for, but the actual action and excitement of the game. The meals are more than decent here and will satisfy any man-sized appetite. The restaurant is open from Monday to Friday and during games.
