Lucky me. Off again to Cape town 09
Personaly there is no other place on this earth which has so much history and beauty.
Camps Bay is very cosmopolitan,"it's the place to be seen" as i read on one upmarket magazine on a train to London a few weeks ago. And it certainly is true.
I am fortunate as my husband has his family living quite close to Camps Bay, my only thumbs down is the cold sea. As the sea runs from the Antartic, local people do attempt to have a dip but it's literally that! I simply have a paddle to cool down then out. I have visited Cape Town during the month of October, November and February. My best advice is to go anytime between that time.
The restaurants are amazing at Camps Bay, but be warned you will pay a lot more as Camps Bay is a tourist area. Head for green Point, not so attractive but a lot cheaper, there are still nice Restaurants to be found at Green point. Fancy volleyball? then Camps Bay is for you. It's a young beach with good looking people soaking up the sun. I could go on and on, just try it! visit Cape Town it's not as dangerous as we believe it to be. London, is just the same. We all have to just keep vigilant and not look like tourists! Keep your camera and all valuables safely hidden, there are very unfortunate people all over the world who just want to live! They have to steal or they will just die of hunger. The townships are heart breaking to see, if i ever win the lottery i know that i will deffinately help these people. Maybe one day someone will.Enjoy your time in Cape Town it's fantastic!Who knows, i may see you all on the beach at Camps Bay in February!!
