Simonsvlei Winery, Bela-Bela

Within spitting distance of the impressive Taal (language) Monument, wines of exceptional quality are produced by Simonsvlei, one of South Africa's leading wine producers and exporters. The winery was established in 1945 on the initiative of Sonny le Roux, who served as first chairman. Determined to provide the area's farmers with the facilities and expertise to produce high quality wines, his vision has since been fulfilled - excellent wines at affordable prices have become the hallmark of Simonsvlei Winery. This is the only cellar to have received the President's Award for export achievement twice in a row - 1994 and 1995.
