an oasis of peace
Kirstenbosch I could visit every day. It is an oasis of peace and quiet in the bustling city of Cape Town. Set in the southern suburbs along the slopes of Table Mountain it offers walks of different length and difficulty to the visitor, even a hike up to Table Mountain. In summer there are concerts with picnics to bring along. There is also a gift shop and a restaurant with very nice refreshments on offer.
The beautiful setting guarantees a relaxing time as well as awesome flora and also fauna. I saw sunbirds and butterflies, guinnea fowl and even a mongoose before.
The unique flora of the Cape Peninsula is very well displayed on the vast grounds and in between the visitor can also have a look at various pieces of art.
I liked the protea, silver leaf trees, sunbirds and beautiful setting next to Table Mountain. I felt absolutely safe and relaxed.
I disliked the high entrance fee.
