Kirstenbosch Summer Concert Series
Along with blooming agapanthus flowers, summer at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden brings concerts galore. The garden, which is situated on the eastern slope of Table Mountain, hosts an annual classical music series. Performances (by acts as notable as the Three Tenors and Il Divo) are held at sunset on Sunday evenings and couples and families gather at dusk to listen to music under the stars. Most guests bring a picnic and some good Cape wine to enhance the experience. Sundays at the garden also bring a craft market at the nearby Stone Cottages, so if you arrive early you can shop before the concert begins. See Kirstenbosch website for complete concert schedule.
