Laborie Cellar, Drakenstein

Laborie wine estate and its beautifully restored manor house, which has been declared a national monument, are the possessions of KWN International. The renaissance of the magnificent Laborie wine estate in Paarl was completed with the opening of its new tasting facility, underground barrel maturation cellar and sparkling wine fermentation cellar in 1996. The completion brought the estate in line with the most modern wineries in South Africa and added another pearl to Paarl's collection. The convivial new tasting room has a panoramic view over the vineyards, valley and Drakenstein Mountains. It is one of the most scenic tasting venues in the Cape Winelands and offers daily tastings, enabling visitors to sample the estate's newest selection of wines in elegant surroundings.
