Tygervalley Shopping Centre

Description

Built in 1985, and with extensive revamps and extensions since, the Tygervalley Shopping Centre serves the greater Bellville area's shopping needs. This vast mall contains 275 stores ranging from clothing outlets and bookshops, to coffee shops and music stores. It'll be hard to miss the massive Mississipi Detour food court area, where every taste bud is catered for, and then some.

Boring and dull
By ,
Tygervalley used to be awesome when they still had the Missisippy Detour, then they changed the foodcourt it to some bland unpersonal stage rubish thing, which didn't work. However that was still nice compared to the "office building" they are trying to emulate in the foodcourt now! It is all white walls everywhere and boring as hell! The Missisippy Detour used to be a favourite meeting and hangout spot for everybody, you wanted to be there! Now it feels like you are going to work ( not the feeling you want in a mall ). These days I would rather drive from Durbanville, past Tygervalley to Canal Walk which is 15 km further, because if I want to go to a mall, I want to go to a mall and not a soulless office building.

Tygervalley is AMAZING!!
By ,
I absolutely love the new Tygervalley, because it is a lot more spacious and a lot more fun than it use to be. The 2 level shopping mall has been created into a 3 level shopping mall. I go to Tygervalley almost every weekend and I must say my only dislike was trying to find the shops while they were under construction and their outdated mall maps.

World Class Service
By ,
Travelling through Southern Africa I had my best shopping experience at your Shopping Centre. Excellent Customer service in all stores but was treated like a king in a shop called Zoot. If your Centre gives out awards for excellence they must surely be awarded with one of them.Just 15km down the road we went into a gigantic shopping centre (cannot recall the name) but it was appauling. Thanks for a world class shopping experience. Regards Mr Silva

mall flying
By ,
I live in a small town in the north-west province but twice a year i get the priviledge of going to the western cape, once there tygervalley is just about the only mall i go to. It has a warmly feel esp. round christmas period and one can find just about anything there, both entertainment wise and shopping wise, for the shopping experience of a life time this mall is just about this best you will get in the country!

Tygervalley has Changed
By ,
Alas, there is no more Mississippi Detour at Tygervalley anymore. This "boat" used to make the shopping experience so special and now its more or less like any other mall. But... its still a lovely safe place to shop and its a place I love to go to when I am lcuky enough to be in CT!!
