Greek Fisherman, Cape Town

The Greek Fisherman is an informal, buzzing restaurant with a view across the docks towards the city and Table Mountain. With its funky decor, including a chess-board ceiling and an intriguing sea-theme on the terracotta walls, you can't help but feel your spirits lifting as you tap away to traditional music. The menu consists of Greek food, with an emphasis on seafood, although there are lamb, chicken livers and other non-seafood dishes, a range of mezze, and a snack menu. Otherwise, expect the likes of seafood platters, pans of calamari, mussels, seafood kebabs, prawns, linefish and lobster. A must, are the traditional Greek desserts. Plenty of wines are available with a very modest mark-up.
