Ateneo de Caracas (El), Caracas

The Ateneo in Caracas is a cultural complex that buzzes with activity. They promote theater, dance, cinema, graphic design, plastic arts, education and children's activities. Its facilities include the Sala de Teatro Ana Julia Rojas, which seats 400 people, the Horacio Peterson Concert Hall, with 300 seats, Sala de Teatro Rajatablas, Los Espacios Cálidos Art Gallery which specializes in avant-garde art, and the Sala de Arte y Ensayo Margot Benacerraf. The Ateneo also offers a wide range of academic, technical and craft courses. In the basement there is a library and the famous Cafe del Ateneo.
