Without being as sophisticated as those in other countries, Humboldt Planetarium, named after the Venezuelan scientist/explorer Alexander von Humboldt, is more accessible than others and keeps a permanent exhibition as well as providing constant information. Some of the visitors to the planetarium come from Parque del Este, within which it is located. In addition to its own continuous planetary shows, it performs the important task of offering beginner level astronomy courses and frequent informative talks for the general public.
It�s quite a experience for those who never have visited a place like that. The projector is old but it shows the night sky quite well. It just needs an actualization (new techonology) such as immersive video and virtual reality. Anyway I recommend it.
