Wonderful Larcomar!!

I just 'love' gringos who decide they don't like a place like Larcomar because it reminds them too much of the non-exotic, or the American 'other.' And maybe Larcomar wasn't really constructed to please Americans or other foreigners. What I know is that I was there with my Peruvian fiance last week and the week before, and mostly I saw Peruvians, not foreigners, enjoying the place. It seems to me, then, as if Larcomar was made for Peruvians, not gringos. So if one doesn't like it, why, shoot, head up to picturesque Cuzco and Machu Picchu so that when you get back to that 'Toledo winter' or that 'Dallas summer' you'll feel like your vacation was sufficiently exotic to have been truly worthwhile. Meanwhile, when I'm not in Cuzco I'll take Larcomar any day over some crumbling mall in the U.S.!
