The "Ebony Hands" restaurant is a dining tradition. This beautiful former manor conjures Lima's beach resort aristocracy of yesteryear. Now painted blue and surrounded by well-kept gardens, it is a virtual epicurean temple of Afro-Peruvian heritage. Specializing in typical Criollo (Creole) cuisine, the soup is highly recommended, as are the Anticuchos (grilled meat brochettes), Carapulcra (a dehydrated variety of potato) and the national alcoholic beverage, the Pisco Sour (made from distilled fermented muscatel grapes). Vibrant folkloric performances take place from Wednesday to Saturday evenings.
The Food was excellent , I would love to comeback, the carapulca a traditional Peruvian dish one of the best, the picarones, the anticuchos, the beans, the aji de gallina also a tradition in Peru was very tasty, everything was the best of the best!!
when my wife divorced i decided to eat here because i like sea horses. but then it rained, ...im glad i ate inside. then i had a bucket of shrimp and inhaled it. then i went to my hotel and watched cartoons.
Every time I think of this restaurant I feel so sorry to be so far away from it! I had the most delicious food, particular emphasis on the Afro Peruvian Cuisine, which has its own special flavors. Their black beans with rice and steak is incomparable. All their menu actually is a hit. BUT special mention to their desserts! Their Arroz Zambito, Picarones, Arroz con Leche, Crema Volteada... just to die for!!! The waiters/waitresses are friendly and servicial, always with a big smile and quick to suggest dishes. An all around excellent place for families, business lunches or just when your belly is asking for good food. DO NOT MISS IT!
