San Telmo, Quito

Just returned from Quito last week where we celebrated my birthday (won't say which year) at San Telmo. We were a bit worried about arriving late without a reservation as much of Quito closes down early but we were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant open and inviting. We were ushered upstairs by the maitre 'd where the wait staff promptly attended to our table of 10. You can only imagine the thrill that came over us as the menu offered imported Argentine beef yumm-o!! Of course, as the birthday girl, I had to order that!! Not only was the food amazing and delicious, it was abundant and the management treated me to a fabulous birthday dessert complete with candles. I would definitely recommend San Telmo to anyone visiting Quito.
