Museo Tajamares del Mapocho, Santiago

This museum is situated along the banks of the river Mapocho, a beautiful place for a scenic walk. It lies among the ruins of the old Tajamar de la Colonia, which was designed by architect Joaquin Toesca in the 18th century. Information boards here illustrate how it was constructed and what materials were used. Admission is free.
